Southland Trailer Corp. produces the best quality trailers on the market. Southland Trailer Corp. is dedicated to developing and applying new innovations to make our trailers, the right trailers for you!

  1. Royal Advantage - Roof

The roof is fully taped with 3M VHB tape, the same tape that is used in the construction of commercial aircraft.   The one piece aluminum roof is unrolled and fitted to the trailer. The bowed roof bows and one piece aluminum ensure all cargo in the trailer stays dry.   The outside of the roof is screwed to seal all outside seams.   The seams are fully caulked to prevent moisture from ever entering the trailer.

  2. Royal Advantage - Roof Cove

The Roof Cove is rolled off of a coil and processed through a custom engineered machine.   The machine molds the steel coil into our exclusive one piece Roof Cove. The Roof Cove has no seams providing a leak free, smooth exterior finish. The exclusive Southland Trailer Corp. roof cove design is created by the only machine in North America. This feature is just one of the many steps Southland Trailer Corp. takes to manufacture the best trailer on the market.

  3. Royal Advantage - Sandblasting

The picture above shows a rusted, old steel fender. Notice water stained V-shaped marking in the center of the fender.   This image is the very same rusted, old steel fender after it has been sandblasted and acid washed. If you look closely you can vaguely see the V-shaped water stain, proving it is the same fender. Every unit is made with new steel, and is sandblasted and acid washed to promote solid paint adhesion and prevent rusting of the trailer.

  4. Royal Advantage - Wiring

All of the wiring holes that are cut in the steel are filled with either a plastic or rubber grommet. This ensures that if a wire was to become exposed and rub, the connection would not be cut.   Each and every wiring connection is made with a connector and then heat shrinked to fuse the connection together.   Once all of the connections are completed the wiring is then further protected with loom fibre, which inhibits movement of the wires, reducing wear on the wires and the connections.

Finally, all of the lights are connected with a push-in plug. The plug in provides for a solid connection, easy accessibility to the wiring and the ability to repair and replace.   The light is placed a the rubber grommet which seals the wiring, allows the light to be recessed into the frame for protection, and acts as a shock absorber to increase the lifetime of the light.

  5. Royal Advantage - Undercoating

This picture shows underneath a trailer without any protective undercoating. The steel and wood components are directly exposed to exterior elements, resulting in significantly reducing the lifetime of the trailer.   Underneath each of our trailers is a layer of protective undercoating. The protective undercoating acts as a sealant to protect the trailer and cargo from moisture, as well as an armor guard to protect the steel and plywood of the trailer from external elements, which significantly increases the lifetime of the trailer.
